Wake up with the howler monkeys and be serenaded by the symphony of the jungle as we practice yoga morning and night. This is YOUR opportunity to take time for yourself. Life is always in session and self-care gets pushed to the waste side so easily as we spend copious amounts of energy going and being for everyone else. During this retreat we will be offering 2 yoga classes a day (including fun workshops) and all 3 of your meals will be provided. Feel free to enjoy any or none of what we offer-no pressure at all you are not expected to do anything but take care of YOURSELF and have fun! Nosara has lots to do and explore so feel free to do so anytime during the 7 days. 10 years ago, Jessica found yoga during a difficult time in my life. After a couple years practicing vigorously, she decided to become a teacher.
Certified in both Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow totaling 500 hours RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher Training by Yoga Alliance), she trained under two truly renowned teachers: Caroline Klebl and Annie Carpenter. Teaching yoga has allowed her to bring love and healing energy to her students lives.
In 2014 she graduated from the University of Santa Monica with a degree in Spiritual Psychology. There she learned to counsel others from a place of love and compassion. That same year, she completed the Spirit Junkie Master Class with modern-day guru (and my true girl crush)Gabrielle Bernstein.
Jessica’s intentions are to help others break down personal barriers, on and off the mat, that prevent them from receiving love and realizing their inner, intrinsic wholeness.
Originally from New York, Jessica has been a student of yoga for 12 years, and in May of 2017, she completed her yoga teacher training at Zeal Yoga in Jupiter.
For Jessica, yoga is the glue that unites us all with Universal love and connection. She is continually inspired by yoga’s transformative power- both internally and externally and believes it to be an expression of spirit bringing synchronicity into her life. As an animal lover, she believes we are all deeply connected to the earth and all beings everywhere and aspires to bring this belief forward in her teachings and personal practice.
Jessica is also a Licensed Massage Therapist and takes joy in blending her experiences with hands on adjustments/assists to help her students find a fuller experience in their yoga practice.
Yoga is not about how flexible you are or wearing the latest trend in yoga tights, it’s about the beautiful journey that unfolds every time you come to your mat.
Jen’s first yoga class was a hot yoga class and she left feeling like she had a workout, massage and therapy all rolled into one 90-minute class. Jen continued to practice hot yoga and eventually found Vinyasa. After moving to the Jupiter area in 2011 and being inspired by her daughters, Jen decided to make a career change and take a teacher training. She graduated from a 200hr teacher training in 2015 under the leadership of Karen Burnett and Lizzy Moore and her 500hr teacher training in April 2018 with Danielle Vardakas of Honest Yoga. Jen has also studied with and continues to be inspired by Caroline Wybar.
Jen’s goal is to welcome everyone to the mat wherever they may be that day so that they can learn to pause, observe and listen to what their bodies are asking for. Jen’s classes are designed to take you on a journey into your body in a safe and challenging way that allows you to build both strength and confidence. Her classes are safe for all levels but be prepared to flow, sweat and laugh a little!
