Kenny Graham
Drawing on his 24 years of yoga study and experience, Kenny Graham teaches yoga in a way that is accessible, intelligent and inspiring. His classes are taught as “form and flow” which blends breath work, meditation, movement and music. He honors the fact that each body is unique, and that alignment is a personal journey. His teaching helps to free limiting mental patterns, lighten the heart and increase body awareness.
Kenny teaches with a focus on equanimity of movement to counter modern-day imbalances, which helps restore the body to its natural fluidity and balance. Through the functional applications of posture, breath and meditation, he helps students to discover their own unique alignment in the world.
He has a BA in Psychology and has always been keenly interested in cultivating a deeper awareness of the mind-body connection. He is a strong proponent of meditation and has witnessed first-hand its power to transform one’s own life. Meditation was his first introduction to yoga and later he supplemented this with physical practice to support his lifestyle.
Kenny continues to study and learn from yoga teachers in many traditions and practitioners of various modalities including chiropractic, bodywork, anatomy, philosophy, Pilates, physical fitness, martial arts, acupuncture, nutrition and medicine. Registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest level (E- RYT®500) he teaches in Santa Cruz, CA and leads teacher trainings, workshops, retreats, and festivals in the Bay Area and worldwide.
No Mat Nomads is created as a vehicle to support the truth that yoga can take place not just on the mat, but wherever we find ourselves. The No Mat Nomad’s journey is towards liberation, creativity and the outer expression of inner truth.
Hannah Muse
Hannah is known for her profound devotion to WAKING UP to the sacred that permeates everything, her nurturing way of weaving ancient wisdom + transformational ritual into everyday living, her epic storytelling and sweet Bhakta voice that stirs deep in your soul, and her teachings’ focus on compassion — reflected throughout her work as a teacher, activist and mother.
Her classes skillfully weave mantra, pranayama, meditation, mudra, and philosophy throughout intelligently-sequenced, alignment-based flows – and her studies span traditions of raja, tantra, hatha yoga, as well as anatomy, ayurveda, the neuroscience of mindfulness, and much more, including various mystical traditions. Her classes seek to empower the yogin not only to become vital in body and clear in mind – but encourage the rediscovery of that grace which is already present within and throughout.
Hannah has been a featured presenter at Symbiosis, Bhakti Fest, Shakti Fest, Electric Forest, and other festivals. She is co-creator and teacher of the beloved ROOTS of Yoga Teacher Trainings (50, 200 and 300 hour trainings) alongside Kenny Graham. She also leads the Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training at Mount Madonna Center, and transformational retreats in India, Bali, Mexico, Guatemala, California and beyond.
With a background in environmental advocacy and social justice, Hannah is deeply committed to making the world a better place from inside out. She serves on the board of the Yoga for All Movement, offering yoga + mindfulness to the homeless, incarcerated and underserved, and founded the yoga program at Siena House, serving homeless women and their babies during pregnancy and postnatal – where she continues to serve as a teacher.
Hannah has been voted as one of the Top Three “Best Yoga Instructors” in the Santa Cruz Good Times for the past five years in a row. She is devoted to sharing the sacred gifts of yoga that uplifted her depression, healed her body, saved her life and awaken her heart each day.
When she's not traveling the world teaching, you can find Hannah giggling with her 9-year old daughter/zen master Ruby Bea, collaborating in service of social + environmental justice, exploring Mama Earth's majesty, dancing wildly, or meditating quietly.
