Ari Rasori, founder and owner of MedTreks, is a nurse practitioner and passionate adventurer with over two decades of experience in travel, global health and wilderness medicine. Driven by a deep commitment to healthcare education and wellness, Ari has created MedTreks to combine her expertise in medical education with her love for exploration, bringing healthcare professionals unforgettable, life-enriching adventures around the world. Ari has a background in yoga and holistic medicine allowing her to blend the love of wellness, travel and wilderness medicine. Her trips are thoughtfully crafted to inspire, rejuvenate, and offer a unique blend of professional development and personal discovery. She currently runs MedTreks with retreats all over the world and works part time as an NP in the Emergency Department. On her free time you can find her practicing yoga, surfing, whitewater rafting and hiking the trails of Southern Oregon with her pup, Otis.
Sheryl Olson is a flight nurse, world traveler, yoga instructor and expert wilderness medicine instructor. For the past 25 years she has been a teacher/instructor of Wilderness Medicine and Wilderness Safety and Survival at conferences and on adventure trips world-wide. She believes that education and adventure go hand in hand and has guided and instructed on treks to Everest Base Camp, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Blanc, Patagonia and other beautiful places in the world. Rivers in Costa Rica, Chile, California, Oregon, and Montana are some of her favorite places to raft, kayak, and educate others who want to learn more about Wilderness Medicine! Sheryl makes her home in Manitou Springs, CO, and along with her husband Larry Moore, and together they continue to enjoy the outdoors of doors hiking, mountain biking, paddle-boarding, rafting, backpacking, and backcountry skiing.
