For 8-days we’ll commit to self-care through challenging cardio, strength training, yoga, and meditation.
One of the most effective ways to improve your cardio and muscular systems is to push your body to the limit then disrupt your routine to allow for recovery. The same approach can be used to improve mental function and creativity; it's called taking a vacation. What if the two were combined － the ability to workout twice a day on vacation? You'd be unstoppable. We invite you to join us along with Barry's Bootcamp trainers Erica Stenz and Tommy Stracke when we travel to Nosara, Costa Rica for a week of intense focus on fitness and relaxation. We've chosen to host this week in a Blue Zone, famed for its wellness principles that allow people to live longer, happier, less stressed lives. For 8-days we'll commit to self-care through challenging cardio, strength training, yoga, meditation, and of course time in the ocean. Do your whole body good and join us for a week you will never forget.
Meet Erica Stenz. Erica started teaching fitness and nutrition at UC Santa Barbara in 2007 while she earned her B.A. in Communications and double minor in Exercise & Health Science and Fitness Instruction. Erica promotes an active lifestyle, eating whole and healthy foods, and has a passion for making a difference people’s lives. Her passion is reflected in through her dual careers at Barry’s Bootcamp as VP of Community Relations and VP of Fitness Development in San Francisco, where she recruits and trains the new Barry’s instructors. Known as San Francisco’s little "firecracker", Erica's endless energy and personal connection will motivate you to reach and exceed your fitness and wellness goals.
Meet Tommy Luke Stracke—for the last six years he has established himself as one of San Francisco's most popular personal trainers. He received a B.F.A from the University of Central Florida and started his professional fitness career in college while working at the Recreational and Wellness Center as a personal trainer. His dual passion for fitness and Fine Art began as a pre-teen; utilizing his artistic eye he combines cardio and resistance training as a tool to help others "sculpt" their desired physique. In addition to personal training clients one-on-one and teaching classes full-time, Tommy is a Master Trainer who helps train the new Barry’s Bootcamp instructors as the team expands in the Bay Area. His contagious energy, passion for effective fitness and a practical nutritional philosophy all make him…the "the one and only”.
