Utilizing its unique and tranquil setting in the Nicoya Blue Zone, Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort is the ideal spot to experience peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation. The Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort was designed to flow with the natural environment of Nosara. Gretchen McCreary
Gretchen’s journey into yoga began 15 years ago, as a purely physical practice. The multitude of benefits was not solidified until 7 years ago when she was dealing with the imminent death of her mother and a husband away at war. Yoga brought solace on every level and it reaffirmed stability and peace in her life. This personal healing is what led her to obtain her 200-hour RYT with Pure Prana in 2009. Within this experience, on the brink of beginning a Masters in Clinical Counseling, Gretchen switched gears and instead received her M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology, with a focus on conflict resolution, to better enable her to help others on a deeper level.
Her mission statement on and off the mat is to be an excavator of peace in those who have lost it, acting as a champion for hope and compassion, while easing inner pain.
Gretchen teaches vinyasa (flow), attempting to allow the energy and motion of a class to release all of the stuck emotion we carry within.
