The science of Yoga holds the potential to bring every individual into a state of great health and immense wellness. In this 2-week course, we will explore how to empower one to get back to a state of integration (body, mind, heart and soul) through the wisdom of yoga in its full spectrum of asana, pranayama, meditation, mantra and lifestyle choices.

Learn to tap into the very potent healing power of yoga to empower yourself and others to return to (and sustain) a state of optimal wellness. In this 100-HR intensive, you will gain the tools you need to support yourself and your clients to live healthy, vibrant lives.

  • Refine your eye to be able to read bodies in a therapeutic way, decipher the root source of disintegration and how to effectively guide one back to their own, unique optimal alignment.
  • Tone your ears to really listen to your clients and truly hear what’s going on within the story of symptoms, injury and disease, so that you can understand the bigger picture of where they may be out of balance.
  • Learn the anatomy, physiology and psychology of many predominant health concerns.
  • Gain a new perspective on pain, through the science and neurology of pain. Learn what it is, what it isn’t and how to effectively work with chronic pain.
  • Understand what makes Yoga Therapy a unique and effective modality, as compared to physical therapy, psychotherapy, standard western science/medicine and other fields of wellness. Learn how yoga therapy can complement these other modalities, when it can stand alone and when to call in the support of specialists in other fields.
  • Gain a clear understanding of the Pancha Maya Koshas, the 5 layers of our being, and how to work with each of these layers to bring about full-being wellness.  You will also get some fundamental tools to understand and work with the subtle bodies of the Gunas, Doshas (an individual’s physical and mental constitution) and Chakras.
  • Explore the healing power of somatic movement, therapeutic asana, functional movement, adjustments, distinct meditation practices (including specific mantras and mudras) and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Gain the confidence necessary to begin to “prescribe” yoga practices in an effective way.
  • Gather the skills to attract and work with private clients in a valuable and potent way.
  • Explore the arena of integrative care and how to successfully work with other medical professionals such as doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, specialists, etc.
  • Get a clear understanding on how to craft healing group practices for people with different types of health concerns and diseases like back pain, anxiety, arthritis, etc.
  • Learn effective strategies and sequences for a variety of different populations such as seasoned yogis, athletes, executives, the elderly, dancers, and overweight people.
