At Bodhi Tree, you’ll have access to world-class, year-round, consistent waves and certified instructors who will help you achieve your goals.

We have partnered with Agua Tibia Surf School and Marea Surf School to offer a variety of services from beginner, private, to group surf lessons and surf tours for advanced surfers.

 Our Surf partners are dedicated to teaching the magic of surfing located on one of the best and safest beaches worldwide to learn to surf; the staff is local, friendly, respectful, and fun! They strive to be highly trained, and certified by ISA ( International Surfing Association ) as well as lifesaving training.


Surf lessons for beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers

  • Fresh coconut  water “pipa” once your lesson is completed

  • Lessons take place in the morning and afternoon depending on tides and wave conditions.
  • Lessons take place in Guiones Beach, a 200-meter walk from our office.
  • We expect you to arrive at our office 15 minutes before the lesson is scheduled to begin.

  • Group lessons $85 per person
  • Private lesson $115
  • Duration: 90 minutes

  • Ostional, Marbella, Barrigona, Camaronal, Playa Negra, Playa Grande, and Witch’s Rock.

Boat Transportation Locations

  • Garza (Little Pavones, La Barra, Pink Island). Prices vary according to distance, number of people, and means of transportation.
