Teacher Information:

The Betkers of Best(Bet) Yoga: Chuck and Kami have been involved in the Northwest yoga scene since 2006, first as students then as instructors and yoga studio owners. The one thing that they continually heard from new teachers was that they didn’t feel satisfied with their training or they didn’t feel confident in their ability to teach.

When they sold their yoga studio in 2018 the big question was, “what’s next?” The answer came when they found themselves continually coming up short on schools to refer their students to. Thus Best Bet Yoga Teacher Training was born.

It is our goal as trainers to give you a yoga “toolbox” then help you find your authentic teaching voice to excel as a yoga instructor, insuring that when you graduate you’re able to confidently sequence and lead a dynamic yoga class to all skill levels.

Testimonials:

“Best Bet Yoga completely prepared me for teaching. They were thoughtful in how they presented the material and how to address my individual needs. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to become a yoga teacher”. –Michelle

“Words can’t describe how amazing this training truly was. I went in unsure if i would teach after completing the program and now that I finished, that’s all I want to do! Best `Bet Yoga moved at a pace that worked for all the students and continued to check in and communicate with us to make sure our expectations were being met. Great training!” -Tasha

“Best Bet Yoga exceeded my expectations of a YTT. I feel as though they went above and beyond to ensure that students got a wide arrange of yoga knowledge and a thorough introduction to multiple types of yoga. I felt as though I was able to find my voice and personal teaching style and was able to incorporate that into my sequencing of the asanas. I enjoyed learning from them and already want to take training with them” -Amber

Training Leaders
Kami Betker

ERYT-200, RYT 500

Kami took her first yoga class in 2006, at 240 pounds she was looking for a way to aid her weightless journey and complement her regular workout routine. Kami joined some friends for a Bikram Hot Yoga class; she barely made it 10 minutes into class before laying on her mat for the other 80. Naturally, she decided this was exactly what she needed, within 30 days Kami noticed that not only had her body changed but so did she on a much deeper level. It was then that she knew sharing this practice was part of her life’s purpose. In 2009 Kami enrolled in her first of two 200 hour training’s under the guidance of Ali Valdez. Since completing her training Kami has had the joy of teaching hatha, Vinyasa, and yin yoga for local studios, Wanderlust Festival, and hosting yoga retreats.

Chuck Betker

RYT-200

Chuck started practicing hot yoga around 2008 when his wife finally convinced him how wonderful it was; and how could you go wrong with 90 minutes of heat? After few classes he was hooked. Never being the most flexible person and being athletic most of his life the benefits of regular yoga practice began to really become apparent in his other activates at the time. Fast forward a few years after many yoga classes, a few sports injuries and a kid, Chuck’s passion for yoga went to the next level during Yoga festival where he realized he wanted to become a yoga teacher and share his passion with others. Naturally it took another nudge from his wife to get him to commit to a teacher training. In the fall of 2016 Chuck began his 200 hour training and quickly found his passion for teaching. Chuck was thrown to the wolves, teaching his first class with only 20 minutes notice and thrived! He immediately became known as the upbeat and energetic teacher with the great music!
