I developed my Functional Fitness Retreat Program to give my clients a balanced exercise program that will enhance their fitness for daily activities and beyond. Whenever you squat down to pick something up, or need to stand up from sitting on the floor, your muscles are working functionally in order to achieve that particular motion. By optimizing your workouts and nutrition with this in mind, my retreat program is designed for your body to be better prepared to take on daily life, and give you a solid foundation to build towards your greater fitness goals.
We start the day with my Start Up Functional Fitness class; a fusion of Barre and Pilates. These classes have the benefit of pushing your heart rate up into cardio fitness, strengthening your entire body, and revving up your metabolism so you start your day at the retreat feeling positive and strong. Follow that with plenty of relaxing and renewal time at the resort, where I’ll be available to schedule 1- on-1’s where we can discuss your health and fitness goals, nutritional advice, and overall wellness tips.
To wrap the day, in the afternoon I will guide you through my Wind Down Functional Fitness class, a mix of Yoga and Stretch where you will learn to build both physical and mental endurance, and work through stretch positions for deeper flexibility. During this work, you will focus your mind on your breathing, using it to build a more resilient mind that can learn to focus, let go, and move towards a more meditative state.
These combinations of strength and stretch work will take you to a more complete and balanced body, help you avoid injuries in the long run, and give you the tools and motivation to continue a healthier lifestyle when you leave the retreat.

Mandy is an experienced dancer turned fitness professional whose background includes 15+ years of experience teaching pilates, barre, bootcamp, and working with personal training clients in New York City and Los Angeles.
Her experience comes together in this functional fitness retreat program to provide attendees with a unique, challenging and fun experience that inspires you to find your center, push yourself, and leaves you with the knowledge to continue a healthy lifestyle back at home.
When Mandy isn’t teaching, she is taking long walks with her dog, going bowling with her husband, or having a relaxing evening at home with both!
