Becky Sutton

For a long time I resisted the title of “yoga instructor”. For some reason it felt inadequate, maybe not in line with my academic or societal perceptions. But one day I had a moment of clarity: I had just returned from leading an incredible retreat in Costa Rica; I was teaching regular public classes with amazing students every week; I was saturated with private clients who were seeking me out on their journeys to wellness… and I was loving it! I realized that somewhere along the way, I had developed a misconception that life needed to be difficult. After many years of working hard, struggling and seeking, I had indeed turned my passion into my career. And all of a sudden, there it was- my career was thriving! I let go of the resistance and allowed the floodgates (and my heart) to fully open. I am truly humbled to be on this path of sharing what I love.

I am forever a student. My formal studies of Yoga, Classical Homeopathy, Reiki and Energy Healing, combined with my traditional studies in Psychology and Biology, have all interconnected to lead me on this path… always seeking more. My curiosity never subsides. I am continuously learning and expanding through different teachers, training courses and self-study.

I am forever a traveler. I was not meant to stay in one place. I feel alive when I am simply in nature and I have a passion for seeing the world through different lenses. Taking my yoga to beautiful destinations is a dream come true.

I am forever grateful for all of the lessons along the way. The joys as well as the struggles have brought me to this point. Of course, “this point” is much like our yoga practice: an ever-evolving journey. Thank you for being a part of it.
